Python Discoverer 1 - Thursdays

This is an intermediate stage course in which students will dive deeper into text-based coding with the popular programming Python in a fun and interesting manner.

The course is
divided into two units of 10 lessons each. Each lesson will be of 1.5 hours (90
minutes) duration. For this cohort, classes will be held once every week on Thursdays.

In the first 10 lessons of Unit 1, the students will learn about the basics of Python coding, using a fun and interactive web-based teaching tool. After that, they will focus on learning text-based game development in Python.

Subsequently, in Unit 2, students will start creating games as a group. Initially, they’ll create simple games like Tic-Tac-Toe using Python and gradually move to medium complexity text-based games. By the end of the course, students will be comfortable in creating games of their choice by using all the learning obtained during the course. They'll be ready to move into the next course Python Discoverer 2.
